What We Offer

Postural Education

Poor posture can contribute to many problems and misalignments.
Emphasizing proper posture and teaching exercises to attribute to postural improvements can have enormous benefits in alleviating symptoms and pain and achieving good spinal mobility.

Mechanical Traction

Mechanical Traction has been shown to be highly effective in reducing the size of a disc herniation, decreasing pain intensity and faster return to full activity. In many cases surgical intervention may be avoided.

Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic exercise is best described as intentional movement or activities that prevent or remediate impairments and injuries of the body. With the proper approach to prescribing specific exercises, the client can experience the beneficial effects of exercise intervention namely reducing post-injury related complications, pain, restriction, and swelling. The use of therapeutic exercise is also extremely helpful when trying to enhance the client’s activity participation, reduce health risks, optimize overall health, improve fitness, improve physical function, and improving general well-being.

Anti-inflammatory Treatment

This is a treatment that involves specific modalities that can be utilized in a presence of swelling/inflammation. It can also be useful in breaking up adhesions, as well as in improving scar mobility and strength after an injury.

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy is a specific technique that uses hands-on treatment. It involves moving specific joints/spinal segments to restore any biomechanical restrictions. It is a very safe yet effective technique that requires advanced and specialized training. It promotes good quality of movement and it helps improve muscle tone and flexibility.

C.Gunn IMS

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) is an effective treatment for chronic pain of neuropathic origin. Based on scientific and neuro-physiological principles, it is a technique that uses acupuncture needles to reduce adverse muscle tone and muscle shortening that can cause pain and dysfunction. Practitioners that administer this technique must obtain proper certification.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture originated in the Orient. It uses fine needles that enable flow of body energy, which helps to relieve pain and discomfort, as well as stimulates the body’s natural healing ability. There are three ways of implementing acupuncture: usage of needles, cupping and moxibustion. Cupping (heat treatment) can be used to enhance the healing by eliminating excessive heat in the body, moxibustion to the cintray is a specific technique that adds heat to the body. Certified acupuncturists can successfully treat a number of ailments and conditions.

FMS

Functional Movement Systems (FMS) is a measurement technique which examines and identifies faulty movement patterns which result in reduced physical performance. The FMS screen assesses 7 specific movement patterns in order to identify and explain to clients the impact of mobility, motor control, and functional patterns needed for their physical recovery. By using FMS results, professionals are able to create a customized exercise program for the client to resolve faulty movements and to heal completely.
